This pivotal role focuses on managing and expanding our investment portfolio within the agricultural sector, driving strategic investment decisions, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders to propel our mission of sustainable agricultural advancement. Based in Abuja with the flexibility for remote work, this position offers the opportunity to shape the future of agri-investments at a leading edge of innovation and sustainability. Key Responsibilities • Develop and manage a robust agricultural investment portfolio, identifying and evaluating investment opportunities that align with our strategic objectives. • Conduct comprehensive market, financial, and risk analyses to inform investment decisions and strategies. • Foster and maintain strong relationships with investors, partners, and other stakeholders in the agricultural sector. • Lead due diligence processes, investment negotiations, and the execution of investment transactions. • Monitor and manage the performance of the investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with our sustainability goals and financial objectives. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate investment strategies with company-wide initiatives. • Stay abreast of trends, regulatory changes, and innovations in the agricultural and financial sectors to adapt strategies accordingly. • Report regularly to senior management and stakeholders on portfolio performance, insights, and strategic recommendations. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, Finance, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees, will be considered an added advantage. • Proven track record with several years of experience in investment management, preferably within the agricultural sector or a related field. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough financial analysis, market research, and risk assessment. • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. • Deep understanding of the agricultural sector's trends, challenges, and opportunities, especially within the context of sustainable and innovative practices. • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate insights into actionable investment strategies. • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience in managing cross-functional projects and teams.
